Thermal Transfer Printer Series TTO:

Thermal transfer printer series, or TTO, is a digital printing technology that has been developed specifically to be used with flexible materials, making it ideally suited for this process, while other coding methods have multiple uses. Markem-Imaje has pioneered thermal transfer products for over three decades. Our comprehensive SmartDate® Series, the industrial thermal transfer overprinter series, provides the most reliable high-quality codes on flow-wrappers, bags, tray seals, pouches, sachets, vacuum packs or labels.

Large Character High Resolution Piezo Printer Series:

Markem-Imaje's LCIJ technology or Large Character High Resolution Piezo provides high quality coding, fast print speed, is easy to use and is a low cost solution for secondary casing, especially on corrugates and pallets. Markem-Imaje's Large Character Touch Dry printers use a Piezo drop-on-demand technology which digitally deposits ink onto a wide variety of substrates. The ink is heated to produce touch-dry hot melt . The technology is ideal for large case coding, films, rigid plastics, and ceramics.

Markem-Imaje is the most experienced printer in hot melt also known as touch-dry inks that produce darker, high quality print which is ideal on secondary case packaging for the high-quality print required on GS1 compliant 1D and 2D codes.

Laser Coding:

Laser marking for high quality permanent codes:

Markem-Imaje's laser marking machines for coding and marking are either CO2, Fiber, or UV (ultraviolet) based that mark by ablation, etching, foaming, or laser scribe imaging.

CO2 laser marking technology is suitable for film, laminates, PET bottles, and inked paper and metal caps.
Fiber laser marking is suitable for bare metal and rigid plastics and is used in the automotive and electronics industries and FMCG. Fiber laser technology provides high-speed printing in large coding areas and tough environments and the ability to multi-head scribe and produce high-contrast codes.
UV laser technology is good for marking on the finest easy-to-damage substrates because of producing a photochemical reaction with the material, for example, on newer thinner mono films which are better for the environment films.
Ultraviolet printing is an alternative solution for CO2 or fiber laser printing when these are not suitable for the substrate.

Thermal inkjet printer:

Markem-Imaje's range of thermal inket printer series or TIJ printers offer high quality compliant barcodes codes on uneven surfaces and direct onto a product with ease-of-use and little maintenance required. Thermal inkjet marking is suitable on a wide-range of substrates, including cardboard, metals, plastics, foils and wood, and represent a cost-effective solution. Markem-Imaje thermal inkjet technology is contact-free and involves heating ink that is highly accurately transferred onto even moving, 3D surfaces.

Large Character High Resolution piezo:

Touch Dry® Hot Melt inks are solvent-free and environmentally friendly. Codes never bleed or fade, dry on contact and are 100% readable.

Consumables - Touch Dry® technology is solid at room temperature while liquid inks are available in alcohol, ethyl acetate and water bases in a large range of colors.

Substrates - Corrugate cases, trays and wrapping films.

Large Character Valvejet:

Characterised by their compact size, these are perfect for one side case coding or for multi-side case coding up to 3 shifts.

Consumables - Available in alcohol, ethyl acetate and water bases in many colours.

Valvejet DOD Large Character Printers:

Markem-Imaje's valvejet or large character printers are used across multiple sectors ranging from electronics and extrusion to the logistics and warehouse segment and from pharmaceutical to FMCG. Markem-Imaje large character printers use drop-on-demand inkjet technology known as piezo, meaning they are also commonly known as piezo printers or piezo electric inkjet printers, and can be used on a wide range of substrates including corrugate, cartons, cardboard boxes, plastic films, containers and even on metal parts.

Ideal for compact or hard to access spaces and low resolution marking
