This year’s PPMA Show is set for success as over 300 exhibitors launch new products

The PPMA Show returns to the NEC, Birmingham this autumn (September 26 – 28) along with a full seminar programme and an awards evening that will see comedian Rob Beckett as the top act.

This year’s event will continue the tradition of showcasing the very latest processing, packaging, robotics and vision systems options that have been developed in the last year. The three-day exhibition is timely for end users who are still having to deal with the relentless pressure on margins, supply chain issues and staff shortages.

Some might argue that there has never been a more crucial time for UK manufacturing to automate their processes to reap the efficiency and sustainability benefits it can bring.

Visitors to the UK’s largest processing and packaging machinery exhibition, established over 36 years ago, will see leading companies gather to launch new products suitable across many market sectors. Organised by the PPMA Group of Associations, the exhibition takes place in Hall 5 of the NEC and will demonstrate equipment designed for food, beverage, pharmaceuticals, household products and toiletries, building materials and supplies, pet care, micro-brewery and distilleries, contract packers and more.

It will offer a chance to gain new insights and knowledge to the benefit of manufacturing sites, as will the seminar programme that will feature industry experts sharing their learnings.

“Between the 300+ companies exhibiting, there are thousands of years of experience in packaging, processing and automation machinery,” says Richard Little, the PPMA Show director. “Visitors are encouraged to bring their problems and requirements to the show where there will be people who know what to do and there will be plenty of machines to look at actually doing it.”

On the first night of the show, the PPMA Group industry awards 2023 will take place, headlined by top comedian Rob Beckett. There are six categories this year:

  • Innovative Processing System
  • Innovative Packaging Machinery
  • Innovative Robotics Solution
  • Innovative Vision Solution
  • Outstanding Customer Service
  • Apprentice of the Year.

Entertainment for the evening will also include Britain’s Got Talent finalists JACK PACK, who will be providing that Rat Pack charm and swing while mind reader Alex Crow will be circulating during the drink’s reception. Individual tickets can be purchased for £110 +VAT and a table of ten is priced at £990 +VAT.
